The writing-related learning outcomes for the Department of Mathematics were developed by mathematics faculty during the summer session of the WAC Fellows Program. The outcomes are organized around the discipline-specific notions of utilizing mathematical symbols to convey mathematical information, proof-writing as composing, application of mathematical results, and communication of those results to non-mathematicians.
